A Life on a Bicycle
Sergiu, the founder of Ride Therapy has been on his mountainbike for literally a lifetime. He got his first MTB when he was 13, more than 30 years ago, and he never stopped since.
From discovering as a teenager Romania on the saddle of his bike, to crossing the Alps on a mountabike back in 2008 and more recently being the first to ride the entire Via Transilvanica on a normal bike in 2022, his legs and heart can’t stay still for to long.

We rented three mountain bikes and followed the shop owner's excellent route recommendation, about 46km south of Sighisoara over Katzenberg. The first part led along a somewhat busier road, but two-thirds of the route followed smaller roads and paths, across meadows, through forests, and partly along the Via Transilvanica. It was a wonderful experience, with fantastic views of the Romanian landscape. Highly recommended!!

Excellent service! We inquired at very short notice and, in addition to the bicycles, received a very detailed description of a beautiful circular route, which we were able to easily complete on our own using the various online maps and our scouting knowledge. Had an amazing time cycling around the Saxon villages near Sighisoara. The nature is stunning and Sergiu knows the best routes and the most scenic and exciting rides and is super good at communication and helping you all along.
Coming downhill from the hills above the city is awesome, I really recommend this experience when in Sighisoara. It's one of the most fun I had while travelling around Transylvania. Really recommend! 😃

What is the added value of a fortress like Sighisoara?
-When you are the most tired and you arrive here, you can see that you still have some energy to pedal, and then your batteries are recharged on a walk with friends.
But if you are a pedestrian, go to rent a bike Sighisoara, request a normal or electric bike, which are always carefully prepared and you will receive valuable suggestions to follow as a package.
Sergiu, through his modesty, will instantly transmit to you a piece of his passion for pedaling, then the mood increases as you enjoy the surroundings, but especially the visits to the small towns around.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Rent a Bike Shop Sighișoara! The bicycles available for rent are in excellent condition – very well maintained, comfortable and suitable for both relaxing rides and more adventurous routes. The attention to detail and care for the quality of the services provided are clearly visible.
What really made the difference was the fact that Sergiu is a truly passionate man, who transmits his love of cycling and exercise through every pore. He gave us valuable advice, clear guidance and recommendations for absolutely gorgeous routes around Sighișoara. Thanks to him, we discovered special places and enjoyed incredible landscapes, which we probably would have missed otherwise.
Cycling thus became a relaxing experience, full of joy and positive energy. Every moment spent on the route was a real pleasure.

We had an absolutely amazing bike tour with Sergiu around the beautiful hills of Transylvania, near Sighisoara. The day was sunny and perfect, though it had rained before, making some parts of the terrain quite challenging. Sergiu adapted the route to the conditions extremely well, ensuring we had the most enjoyable and safe experience possible.

I had the honor and the great pleasure of going on a guided EMTB tour with Sergiu during my Romanian vacation. What can I say? The tour was the highlight of my vacation. Sergiu has fantastic bikes, one of which I borrowed, and his enthusiasm for mountain biking knows no bounds. He and others designed and painstakingly implemented their own trails. I won't soon forget this 60 km tour. And at the end, a fantastic view over Sighisoara. A huge thank you to Sergiu's trail and bike expertise. And I was also enlightened about Romanian history. Thank you so much for this unique experience.

Sergiu knows the area very well and will give you all the information you need to have a great time. I rented an electric bike for a day at a very reasonable price. It was in perfect condition and equipped with everything I needed (helmet, repair kit, map).

We rented two high-quality mountain bikes from Sergiu for a day and were blown away by the fantastic service. Sergiu provided us not only with bikes, but also with helmets, a repair kit, a map—and so much more!
We wanted to cycle from Viscri to Sighisoara without carrying our heavy luggage, and Sergiu made it all happen: while we enjoyed a stunning mountain bike route, he arranged for our bags to be transported straight to Sighisoara. Amazing!
Communication with Sergiu was incredibly fast and friendly. When we arrived in Sighisoara, Ana—who received the bikes and handed over our luggage—was also extremely kind and welcoming.
Just a heads-up: Sergiu offers both electric and regular mountain bikes. The route from Viscri to Sighisoara is quite long with significant elevation, so riding it on regular bikes was a bit of a challenge (maybe around 4-6 hours of biking) —but definitely a fun and rewarding one!
Huge thanks to Sergiu and Ana for making this wonderful experience possible. We truly enjoyed every moment!

If you want an experience that will leave you smilling, Rent a Bike is the answer. My tour through the beautiful woods and Sighisoara's surroundings was fantastic, thanks to the top-notch e-bike and our wonderful guide, Sergiu. He's a rare gem - a highly professional guide who's also genuinely funny and a captivating storyteller. His expertise on bikes and the Sighisoara area is unmatched.

Had a wonderful experience, great bikes and a super friendly guide with a great knowledge of the area and history. Professional and relaxed highly recommended! It's a must- to try, enjoy and repeat
